Dia Moulton was born and raised on the Marblehead peninsula, graduated from Danbury High School and was an active member at St. Joseph’s in her youth. She is genuinely excited to be back at St. Joseph’s parish! Her husband, Dan, was also raised on the peninsula and graduated from Danbury. After college they were married and moved to Michigan in 1980, and after a few relocations in the Detroit metro area, finally settled in Brighton, Michigan where they were active members of St. Mary Magdalen parish for over 25 years. Being close to their roots was important, however, and they eventually bought a cottage just outside the gates of Lakeside so that their young family could grow up with weekends and summers at the lake and spend time with extended family members. Dia and Dan recently retired and moved back permanently in 2018 and Dia is currently a member of St. Joseph Choir.
Dia had the unique experience of starting her career at The Ohio State University, and ending her career at the University of Michigan. In between she worked for the Mayor of Wixom, Michigan, a computer services company, a financial services company, and the Ave Maria School of Law. (Note: Even after almost 40 years of living in Michigan, and years working at the U of M, she is still an ardent OSU Buckeye fan!)
In between relocations and jobs, Dia stayed at home to raise her children for several years. Their three children are grown and have scattered to various cities: Chicago, New York City, and Ann Arbor.
In retirement, she is looking forward to using her gifts in a small way as the part-time Office Assistant, facilitating the personal and spiritual growth of the members of St. Joseph.
