The Stations of the Cross is a form of prayer where we think about the 14 significant events that Jesus suffered through; beginning from when he was sentenced to death and ending with when his body was laid in the tomb. Early Christians would travel to Jerusalem, where these events occured, to walk the same path that Jesus did. Over time, this devotion spread to churches all around the worls and is represented by 14 plaques placed around our church and in our cemetery. (Our cemetery is located across from Biro Manufacturing on W. Main St. The first station begins on the west side, the right lane after the St. Joseph statue.)
As you pray the 14 stations, place yourself along with Jesus and reflect upon how each of these stations are often played out in your own life.
